“Lip Sync” is a new episode from my Unreal Engine short film series made in Unreal Engine 5.
In this piece, I explored a slower paced story with more emotional delivery. MetaHuman creator was used for hero character, which allowed the detailed facial animation. UE5 lumen gave the scene much richer and realistic lighting, through realtime GI and emissive material. The art style was heavily inspired by the Cyberpunk genre as well as the music composing.
This is the first production for our Shape Shifters Creative team (http://shapeshifterscreative.com). Shapeshifters Creative is the team of artists behind all my other short films and we finally decided to take it to the next level and expand our production. @David Jiang (https://www.artstation.com/davidjiang) is our character lead did an awesome job integrating the metahuman into customized face mesh for the robot. We have much more content coming so stay tuned.
